Last night the MM team went to the Durham Performing Arts Center to see Jackson Browne’s show. Jackson Browne has been on the Music Maker Advisory Board since 2007. In late 2006 Tim (MMRF Executive Director) traveled to Australia for the Byron Bay Blues Fest, a gig that has been going strong for ten years. While at the festival Jackson happened upon MM artist Macavine Hayes and was just blown away by his personality and music. Jackson saw the Macavine as a genuine American artist and had to know more. Macavine and Jackson ended up hanging out the whole festival! The following year Tim approached Jackson to join the MMRF Advisory Board and Jackson was thrilled to be part of the team. Jackson has continued to support Music Maker ever since, and we are so grateful for all he does.
