German photographer Axel Kustner has been a great friend to Music Maker and has taken so many wonderful photos of our artists. Don’t miss hearing him interviewed this Sunday from 5-7pm on Big Road Blues – a show on Jazz90.1 that airs out of Rochester, NY.

Axel has been documenting the blues in the South since the early 70’s through his field recordings and remarkable photography. For over thirty years he has helped document the often unseen and unheard rural Southern Blues scene. On Big Road Blues, Axel will be talking about his travels as well as some of the artists he has recorded and photographed through the years.
