The Como Mamas – Meet Me At The River

Being in the room while these five women sang was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. The lead singer, Esther, sang with Mississippi gravel in her throat while the four others backed her powerful voice with the most succinct and perfectly out of key backup vocals I have ever heard. Although I do not consider myself a spiritual person it was difficult to deny that there was something otherworldly going on in that church.
