Leyla McCalla has been a Music Maker Next Generation Artist since 2011, and now we’re so excited for her release Vari-Colored Songs: A Tribute to Langston Hughes – releasing on February 4th!
Join us at Leyla’s CD release party at the Pinhook in Durham, and see this amazing talent live!
The Next Generation program encourages and mentors younger artists performing Southern traditional music. While these artists do not receive financial support, Music Maker assists them in other ways to foster the continuation of Southern music through this “Next Generation.”
