There are few characters in Music Maker’s history as gregarious as Haskell Thompson, affectionately known as Whistlin’ Britches. Whistlin’, Captain Luke, and Macavine Hayes were like three peas in a pod and could really keep a party going. At parties, when the music got jumping, Whistlin’ would jump in and start clickin’! Anyone watching was always astonished out by the sounds he made. His contribution to the music reflects the communal and improvisational nature of the Blues. Guitar master Cool John Ferguson joins him on this great tune.
