Born in Alamo, TN, Pee Wee Hayes came up listening the great fore fathers and mothers of the blues by sneaking under the floorboards of his father’s cafe to secretly listen to the nightly music. While Pee Wee can certainly shred on some more modern blues his solo version of Lonely Lane in the video is so pared down and gritty you’ll feel lonely yourself after listening.
