Trains and particularly train sounds are commonplace in the Music Maker office. Our Executive Director has an extensive collection of train sounds on vinyl that were recorded in the early 20th century that plays throughout the office from time to time. Hearing the sounds from these records of days past, it’s difficult to imagine a world that was connected by trains. Bishop Dready Manning’s tune Gospel Train is a great example of a song that chugs down the tracks and, he wrote the song! Interestingly, this album, entitled Gospel Train, is taking a journey back in time. The vinyl subscription service Private Press is offering Gospel Train as their album of the month on vinyl!
