Tim joins Carolina Chocolate Drops at Grammys
inNewson February 13, 2013
The Carolina Chocolate Drops were nominated for Best Traditional Folk Album at this year’s Grammys, and while they didn’t come away from the day with their 2nd award, we’re still so proud of them and the work they do spreading traditional music to new audiences. As Tim says, ““It’s an amazing American story. From playing square dances in Boone [North Carolina] to being nominated for their second Grammy, the Carolina Chocolate Drops are proving the roots of American music is a spirit that will never die.”

Thank you, Gordon!
The Carolina Chocolate Drops are an American treasure. It’s great that they’ve been honored with both a Grammy award and a Grammy nomination. This is just the beginning. And Leaving Eden was an artistic achievement. No matter what.
We definitely think so, too!
I came to Asheville in Nov. from Minnesota just to see you . What a night!! I want all my friends and the world to experience your music live. My whole soul still feels your music. I’ m 75 and never felt this happen before. Carolyn
