Timothy Duffy PRESIDENT
Founder and Executive Director of Music Maker Relief Foundation. He has a BA from Friends World College and MA from the Curriculum in Folklore at UNC Chapel Hill.
Rich Henneberry Treasurer
Richard Henneberry has been a member of the Music Maker board since 2009 and is retired from a career in corporate finance and consulting.
Catherine Elkins Secretary
Catherine Elkins is a Results Measurement & Impact Evaluation consultant from North Carolina. She is a longtime supporter of Music Maker and began working with staff in 2011 to develop a new results measurement strategy.
Rick Teller
Rick Teller is a private investor, and has served on the Board of Directors since 2011.
Bill Puckett
Bill Puckett is an award-winning Creative Director and owner of Puckett & Associates Marketing. Together with Tim & Denise Duffy created New York Times noted campaign that included a 42 city Winston Blues Revival featuring Taj Mahal and many Music Maker artists.
Henry Slyker
Henry Slyker is a Financial Advisor with an MBA and a CLU from The Baltimore area. As a veteran, Henry is also involved with the VFW and the VA hospital system.
Dom Flemons
GRAMMY Award Winner, Two-Time EMMY Nominee, 2019 WAMMIE Award Winner- Dom Flemons is originally from Phoenix, AZ and currently lives in the Washington, D.C. area. He is known as “The American Songster” since his repertoire of music covers over 100 years of American folklore, ballads, and tunes. Flemons is a music scholar, historian, record collector, and a multi-instrumentalist. He is considered an expert player on the Banjo, Fife, Guitar, Harmonica, Jug, Percussion, Quills, and Rhythm Bones.
Saramel Evans
Saramel Evans lives in Charleston, SC. She is a yoga instructor and owner of the restaurant Gnome Cafe in Charleston, SC. Saramel joined the Music Maker board in 2012.
Denise Duffy
Co-Founder and Managing Director of Music Maker. She has a BA from Hampshire College and joined husband Tim in managing Music Maker after leaving a successful career in the fashion industry.
Tom Wallack
Tom Wallack is a Senior Vice President with the Global Private Client Group of Merrill Lynch in New York City. Tom had been in the Financial services industry for the past 25 years. Prior to Merrill Lynch Tom worked for The Citibank Private bank also in New York City. In 2002 Tom started his own not for profit record company – Flying Horse Records- based in Brooklyn, NY; supporting local artists from start up to a major label signing.
Carey Barnes
Carey Barnes has spent 30 years in the high tech industry as an executive, serial entrepreneur and business owner. She has a BA in French and Russian from Bucknell University, MA in Russian and MBA from Penn State.
